At Colorado Eye Surgeons we employs a high quality camera that produces a unique photograph providing us with a high-resolution image that helps ascertain the health of your retina. This can all be achieved without the use of drops, saving patients time and the frustration of waiting for dilation to wear off.

Many eye problems can develop without you knowing, in fact, you may not even notice any change in your sight – fortunately, diseases or damage such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, retinal tears or detachments, and other health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be seen with a thorough exam of the retinal photo. The entire image process consists of you looking into the device one eye at a time.

Finally, the photo allows our doctors to view and discuss their retinal photos with the patients at the time of their exam. We strive to include our patient in medical decision making, and our retinal camera greatly enhances our ability to do so.
